Launched in 2014, Hausmade is a platform that focuses on promoting up and coming talent in the house, garage and UK bass scenes. After previously working with the likes of Ash Lay, Nuvaman, Cellardore, Joedan and Josh Gregg, they are back with their first event of 2017 at the Shelter Club in London tonight. The line-up consists of NAL, Arridim, Karl Vincent, WitchDoctor and label boss Nova. Check out the event page here.
Coinciding with the event, Hausmade will be releasing volume 2 of their compilation series ‘Hauswork’. Featuring tracks from NAL, Karl Vincent & 1Thirty, Witchdoctor and Arridim. All four tracks will be free to download on their Soundcloud tomorrow. We are delighted to announce the exclusive premiere of 2 of the tracks from the compilation, available on our Soundcloud now.
Hausmade: Volume 2 features a variety of styles and sensations. NAL steps up first to deliver deep, rolling bass, catchy vocals and percussion that’ll keep you on your feet. ‘The Underground’ is most definitely suited to a dancefloor environment with a strong use of risers and other effects adding to the party style atmosphere. 1Thirty and Karl Vincent collaborate on the experimental ‘Dream State’. A combination of house and garage with old-school sampled vocal hits and synth sounds fused with stomping, shuffling drums. Give You, by Arridim, quickly sets a new tone with consistent kick drums as they combine with the lead to create a nice flow from the off. A screwface style drop follows as the vocals step into the background and give way to the call and response style rhythm of the lead synth sounds. WitchDoctor rounds off proceedings with ‘I Know Ya’. The introduction is deceivingly ambient with mellow pads and vocals that appear to be building a summer style anthem. A mixture of mid and low bass sounds appear after the drop, almost in Shadowchild fashion, quickly changing the direction and mood of the track. The yin and yang of the sections work really well and give you a final taste of what to expect from the Hausmade event at The Shelter tonight.
