INTERVIEW – Numa Crew & Killa P

Having already caught up with Egoless to talk about his apperance on the Hold Tight records takeover of the Brouhaha stage at Bristols Love Saves The Day festival at the end of May, we have a chat with another two of the performers on the day in Numa Crew and Killa P (who will be performing his set with Egoless on the day). With both of these hotly anticipated acts on top form at the moment, their appearances will be unmissable and thanks go to both for talking to us about the festival.

Numa Crew

Have you played at Love Saves The Day before and if you have how did your set go?

No, this will be the first time.

What can we expect from your set on the day or do you keep that under wraps until you play?

We gonna play lot of fresh dubs and lot of our productions, from dub to jungle passing through grime and dubstep vibes. This is the Numa Crew style.

You’re playing the Hold Tight stage on the Sunday. Who else is guaranteed to bring the fire on the stage?

There’s a great line up on this stage as the other stages. Egoless & Killa P will put the fire for sure, Vivek will be fat as always, but also the big names as Pinch & Sherwood or the great locals Kreed, Gardna and the great Parly B will be on top for sure.

Who else would you love to check out on the day on the other stages?

So many names, perfect line up so far for a festival. Fat Freddys Drop, Badbadnotgood, Levelz, Zinc, Kano, TQD, Nadia Rose, Toddla T.

Have you got a lot of love for the Bristol crowds?

This is the first time in Bristol and we’re very excited about this!

What’s the best set you’ve ever played at a festival?

Probably Outlook Festival last year, was great, we got Riko Dan who joined forces on stage with us. That was big!

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever seen at a festival?

Maybe the most extreme and craziest thing has been few years ago at a festival in the North Italy Alps. The stage and camping were situated in a 1600m big field. The day we were supposed to play, we arrived on stage and a massive storm came in very fast. We were in the middle of lights, heavy wind and impressive rain shower for few hours,  it’s been a mad experience, surely over the limit!

What is the track that you reach for that you know will damage any dancefloor?

A couple of brand new tunes made by us we’ve been playing in the last gigs, immediate forward!

What are your three favourite tracks at the moment?

JamakabiHot it up (Kahn & Neek remix) / OBF ft. Charlie PSixteen Ton Of Pressure / Clap! Clap!Hope.

If you could play a set with anyone else, who would you choose?

Very difficult to say! On different vibes, Sir David Rodigan or DJ EZ maybe?

What new artists can you recommend to us?

Dubamine, Jook, Yodaman.

What else have you got planned for the rest of the year?

Many upcoming club gigs and festivals around Europe on the springtime and summertime, as music production we’re planning few good remixes and original releases that we’ re very exited to announce in the next weeks!

Killa P

What can we expect from your set on the day or do you keep that under wraps until you play?

Expect the vibe of a fully charged taser.

You’re playing the Hold Tight stage on the Sunday. Who else is guaranteed to bring the fire on the stage?

I can only guarantee what I am going to bring to the stage.

Who else would you love to check out on the day on the other stages?

Kano and SHY FX.

Have you got a lot of love for the Bristol crowds?

Yeah! Bristol is like my second home. The crowds in Bristol are like my family.

What’s your favourite memory of playing a gig in Bristol?

When I performed at Motion – Sequences Festival.

What’s the best set you’ve ever played at a festival?

The Main Stage set with Zed Bias at Outlook 2016.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever seen at a festival?

Black Josh from Levelz, again at Outlook 2016 – when he dove into the crowd in a rubber dinghy. More stage dives.

What is the track that you reach for that you know will damage any dance floor?

Topper Top, I reckon is the track at the moment.

What are your three favourite tracks at the moment?

1) Worst 2) Topper Top 3) Which One

If  you’re playing at a festival. What is the one thing that saves the day for you?

A clear microphone – clarity is always key.

Chase & Status.

Longrange – check him out on Twitter @LongRangeArtist

What else have you got planned for the rest of the year?
