Subsource Introducing – Arkwright

Kicking off our producer of the week is none other than Arkwright

Arkwright has been an “up ‘n’ comer” for quite some time now, but he’s by no means new to the Dubstep scene nor does he get the recognition that his music demands. The impression brought forward by Arkwright is simply that creating music is by no means a chore nor business for him yet simply one of a passion and pleasure.

You might not catch him on every event flyer or releasing on the biggest labels dubstep can throw at you but rest assured, quality is definitely a consistent factor of his music and mixes.

His soundcloud boasts both sides of the spectrum, ranging from angry, dark, dirty and gritty dubstep such as Corkscrew straight up to the melodic Autumn Fall. No doubt about it, we love everything Arkwright seems to offer at the minute and we don’t doubt that you will too. That’s what makes him our producer of the week.

Going back to the awards 2015, he was crowned “the most-promising upcoming producer” by the listeners and now the London born and bred Arkwright makes his debut on Affiliated with the dubstep culture blog FatKidOnFire, approved by the mighty GetDarker and heavily supported by Rinse FM’s in-house dubstep DJ N-Type, it’s now time for a well-deserved first official release, as is known for introducing and launching new talents frequently.

“Fool” is the track which colours the release the most, a continuous-changing atmosphere with a leading powerful bass throughout the track. On the B-side there’s “Networks”, a more up-tempo vibe while respecting Arkwright’s deep, dark and sub bass oriented signature sound. The 25-years-old definitely does show his passion for dubstep with this first appearance, though we do know these two singles are just a scratch on the surface as Arkwright has plenty of dubplates in the back of his bag ready, and other prestigious labels do keep an eye on Arkwright as well regarding future releases. Simply consider this as a proper introduction.

“DUPLOC just keeps bringing the weight and this time it’s from no other than percussion maestro, Arkwright. It’s no surprise to see him on the label after the platform considers him to be one of the biggest ‘up and coming’ in the scene, and this release displays exactly why.”
